After two massive tours traversing Australia to celebrate the revered music institution that is Countdown, Dragon are taking the concept back out on the road again by popular demand for a third series, this time celebrating 80s UK Chartbusters! What started as The Countdown Years, paying homage to the television show in 2016, grew into the 'Aussie edition' in 2017, and saw Dragon play more than 50 Countdown-inspired shows over the past two years.
The 80s UK Chartbusters takes some of Dragon's favourite songs - by the bands they respect the most - for a massive party jam-packed of hits! Of course, in any Dragon show, no set-list would be complete without the band's own chart-toppers, and the 80s UK Chartbusters tour will also feature the best of Dragon. Brisbane chart-toppers Sheppard announce the first shows of the biggest tour of their career, visiting over thirty regional, metro and suburban communities - including a special massive show taking place at Hornsby RSL in Sydney on Friday 7th September 2018.
With a victory lap to celebrate their #1 album 'Watching The Sky the band are heading out to do what they do best-playing live with hits from the new album including 'Hometown', 'Coming Home' and 'Keep Me Crazy' as well as their multi-platinum smash hits 'Geronimo' and 'Let Me Down Easy'.
"From the moment we got the news that we'd gone #1 we started planning how we could have the biggest possible party to say thank you to everyone who has support us," said singer George Sheppard. Circular Keys Chorus presents "Meet Us In St Louis".
Circular Keys Chorus are Australia's Small Chorus A Capella Champions which has earned them the right to compete in the Sweet Adelines International Competition in St. Louis in October. Joining them in the show are Alouette and Sydney Harmony. Alouette are an award-winning quartet who placed second at the 2018 Sweet Adelines Australia Convention in Hobart. Sydney Harmony are a men's chorus who will be performing a couple of numbers as well as joining with Circular Keys Chorus for a couple of songs in eight part harmony.
